To be informed of and present for all critical stages of the criminal justice process

The right to be informed, upon request by the victim, when a person who is accused or convicted of a crime against the victim is released or discharged from custody, is paroled, escapes from a secure or non-secure correctional facility or program, or absconds from probation or parole.

The right to be heard in court regarding any bond reduction or modification, continuances, acceptance of plea negotiations, case disposition or sentencing

The right to have the court determine the amount, if any, of restitution to be paid to you for damages that resulted from the commission of the crime

To pursue a civil judgment against anyone who has committed a crime against you

In a case of domestic violence, the right to be informed of the violation of any condition of probation and the right to receive copies of all probation reports submitted to the court and notice of probation revocation.

To be informed, upon written request, of post conviction release when any person convicted of a crime against a victim is placed in or transferred to a less secure correctional facility, or is permanently or conditionally transferred or released from any private, public, or state hospital

The right to provide a written statement that will be included with any referral made by the Department of Corrections or a district court to place an offender in a community corrections facility or program

To have property returned promptly when it is no longer needed for prosecution

To be informed of the availability of financial assistance and community services to include but not limited to crisis intervention, victim compensation, victim assistance, legal resources, mental health, rehabilitative and financial assistance

The right to be informed about what steps you or a witness can take in case there is any intimidation or harassment by a person accused or convicted of a crime against you or any person acting on behalf of the accused or convicted person

To be given appropriate employer intercession services regarding court appearances and meetings with criminal justice officials

To be assured that in any criminal proceeding the court, the prosecutor and other law enforcement officials will take appropriate actions to achieve a swift and fair resolution of proceedings

The right to be informed of any rights which you have pursuant to the constitution of the United States or the state of Colorado

The right to be informed of the process for enforcing compliance with this article pursuant to section 24-4.1-303 (17)

To be informed of the results of any court-ordered HIV testing
