DNA Resource

New advances in DNA technology have made DNA science an exciting new crime-fighting tool.  Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey continues his commitment to sharing information about DNA and its use in prosecution and cold-case projects by compiling helpful information.

The DNA files are presented in Acrobat Reader format (. pdf). You will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader to open these files. If you need a copy of this software, please go to this site:

In an ongoing effort to provide timely support to colleagues in the legal community we will be updating this site regularly. If you know of any recent decisions regarding these DNA systems please contact us so we can include copies of the rulings here. Also, if you have any comments or questions please do not hesitate to contact us. We have additional materials regarding this technology. Please contact us for details.
