MAN CHARGED FOR NOT COMPLYING WITH TB TREATMENT

 

A 56-year-old man being treated for pulmonary tuberculosis has been charged with a misdemeanor for not cooperating with medical treatment required to cure him.

 

Gary Bryant (DOB: 1-26-48) is charged with one count of failure to comply with a tuberculosis isolation and treatment order (M).

 

Bryant is under a public health order to undergo treatment for TB but failed to appear for treatment at Denver Health Medical Center for several weeks.  Without the treatment, he could pose a public health risk to anyone with whom he came into contact. 

 

He was located and arrested on January 27, 2004 and will be advised of the charge against him on February 12, 2004 at 8:30 a.m. in Denver District Court, division 11.
