CRIME
VICTIMS TO BE HONORED
Colorado will observe National Crime
Victims’ Rights Week with a public ceremony on Monday,
April 19, 2004 at Denver’s Civic Center Park. While
headlines often focus on the criminal and the
crime, Colorado will take time out to honor
victims. As his final tribute to victims as
Denver’s District Attorney, Bill Ritter will dedicate a
park bench in honor of victim service providers. In
addition, there will be brief remarks by victims of crime,
a Mayoral proclamation and City Council resolution
designating Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the laying of a
wreath at the Crime Victim’s Memorial bench and more.
