WOMAN CHARGED IN FRIEND’S DEATH

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. has charged a woman in connection with the death of a 62-year-old man whose body was found in his apartment late last week.

Nancy Cummings (DOB: 02-21-61) is charged with first-degree murder (F1).

The charge alleges that Cummings, who was a friend of the victim, killed 62-year-old James Gordon sometime between December 6th and 8th, 2004 in his home.  His body was found by a friend the afternoon of December 8, 2004.

She remains in custody in the Denver County Jail and will be formally advised of the charge on Friday, December 17, 2004 at 9 a.m. in Denver County Court, room 12T.
