WOMAN SENTENCED IN FATAL CAR CRASH

 

 

23-year-old Cassandra Egloff was sentenced today in connection with a fatal car crash that killed 46-year-old Doug Fleischmann, a Denver restaurant owner, in June 2003.

 

Egloff had been drinking and was driving southbound on Lafayette Street when she went through a stop sign at 17th Avenue and collided with Fleischmann’s car. 

 

She was sentenced to 6 months of in-home detention (360 days with 180 days suspended), one year of supervised probation, level two alcohol treatment classes, participation in a victim impact panel, empathy classes, $500 fine, restitution, and 40 hours of community service.
