WOMAN CHARGED IN
ARMORED CAR ROBBERY
Denver District
Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. formally charged a 20-year-old woman
today in connection with the December robbery of an armored car.
Cassandra Gomez
(DOB: 9-21-83) is charged with aggravated robbery
(F3) and theft (F4).
An armored car
employee leaving a restaurant on the morning of December 8, 2003
was confronted by three armed men wearing Santa hats. He was
sprayed with a chemical spray and robbed at gunpoint. The
charges allege that Gomez was driving the get-away car following
the robbery. The Denver Policy Department has identified one of
the other suspects in the case (see DPD’s news release dated
today); the investigation continues.
The presumptive
range for sentencing on a class 3 felony is up to 12 years in
prison; the range for a class 4 felony is up to 6 years in
prison.
