Charges filed against former airline employee

 

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter Jr. has formally charged a man who is accused of taking more than $33,000 from his employer.

 

Jose Gutierrez (04-17-80) is charged with Theft (F3).

 

The charge alleges that between April 23, 2004 and June 8, 2004 about $33,155 was taken from Mexicana Airlines. Gutierrez was responsible for making bank deposits for Mexicana Airlines.

 

The money was discovered by a Mexicana Airlines office in Los Angeles. When confronted with the allegations, Gutierrez went home ill and never returned.

 

Gutierrez is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court to be formally advised of the charge on July 23, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 12T.
