Serial robber charged
Denver District
Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. formally charged a man accused of
multiple aggravated robberies in the Denver area.
Jon Kidneigh
(DOB: 8-23-61) is charged with 9 counts of aggravated robbery
(F3), six counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery
(F4), and eight counts of menacing (F5). The charges
allege that in November and December 2003 he committed a series
of aggravated robberies, some with co-defendants, at numerous
businesses including hotels, liquor stores and restaurants. He
was arrested in Adams County after a pursuit
that included the exchange of gunfire.
He remains in
custody in the Adams County Jail and will be advised of the
charges on January 29, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. in Denver County Court,
room 12T.
Additional charges
are possible.
