MAN SENTENCED IN SUMMER ARSON AND ASSAULT CASE

Daumier McAfee (DOB: 5-24-78) was sentenced in Denver District Court yesterday in connection with a July apartment fire and assault. 

McAfee set a friend’s apartment on fire in July 2003, after an argument and fled the scene.  He returned a short time later and confronted the victim with a gun and attempted to run over her in his car.

Denver District Judge Gloria Rivera ordered McAfee to serve concurrent sentences of 3 years in the Department of Corrections for menacing (F5) and 3 years in the Department of Corrections for first-degree arson (F3).
