WOMAN CHARGED IN
CIVIC CENTER PARK MURDER
Denver District
Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. has formally charged a woman in
connection with the stabbing death of 29-year-old Benyam
Woldemariam.
Shauneque McClain
(DOB: 8-15-76) is charged with second-degree murder (F2).
The charge alleges
that during an altercation in Civic Center Park last Tuesday,
August 17, 2004, McClain stabbed Woldemariam. He was taken to
Denver Health Medical Center and later died.
McClain remains in
custody in the Denver County Jail and will appear in Denver
County Court on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 9 a.m. to be advised
of the charge.
