MAN PLEADS GUILTY IN BABY DEATH

A man accused of beating an 11-month-old baby to death last spring has pleaded guilty in Denver District Court today.

Khristopher Pardue (DOB: 10-23-84) has pleaded guilty to child abuse resulting in death (F2) with the stipulation that he will face the maximum possible sentence when he appears for sentencing in January.

On March 4, 2004, Pardue was babysitting his girlfriend’s children, 11-month-old Braedon Walters and a 4-year-old sister.  Pardue pleaded guilty to repeatedly hitting Braedon when the baby wouldn’t stop crying.

He will appear in Denver District Court division 23 on January 18, 2005 at 8:30 a.m. to be sentenced.
