MAN CHARGED IN SEXUAL ASSAULTS ON CHILDREN

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. has charged a 52-year-old man with multiple counts of sexual assault on two children in a case that occurred in 1999.

Paul Quintana (DOB: 09-02-52) is charged with 9 counts of sexual assault on a child (F4), 11 counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust (F3) and two counts of sexual assault on a child – pattern of abuse (F3).

The charges allege that Quintana, who is confined to a wheelchair, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy in the summer of 1999.  The boys knew Quintana as a friend of their mother. 

Quintana remains in custody in the Denver County Jail.  His bond was set at $100,000.  He is scheduled to be advised of the charges in Denver County Court on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 9 a.m. in court room 12T.
