DENVER MAN
SENTENCED IN E-BAY THEFT
A 23-year-old Denver
man is currently serving a 30-day jail term in the Denver County
Jail as part of his sentence in an E-bay auction theft.
Shannon Spicer
(DOB: 1-31-80) posted two cars for sale on the E-bay auction
web site last March. A man from Chandler, Arizona was the high
bidder on a ’63 Chevy Impala and sent Spicer a deposit of
$2500. A man from Ontario, Canada was the high bidder on a ’71
Oldsmobile Cutlass and sent Spicer a deposit of $900. Spicer
never delivered either vehicle. He was arrested in June and was
charged with computer crime and theft.
Spicer eventually
agreed to plead guilty to a felony count of forgery and make
full restitution. His sentenced included 90 days in jail with
60 days suspended, two years probation and $3400 restitution.
