MAN CHARGED WITH BRINGING GUN TO COURT

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. has formally charged a man accused of bringing a gun into a federal courthouse.

Clifford Weeks (DOB: 12-21-62) has been served with a Criminal Summons and Complaint charging him with one count of carrying a concealed weapon (M2).

The charge alleges that on May 17, 2004 Weeks entered the federal courthouse in Denver with a handgun in his briefcase, and that he does not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

Weeks is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on June 21, 2004 at 8:00 a.m. in room 11S for arraignment.
