WHITE SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON

 

 

Richard Paul White (DOB: 10-29-72) was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison plus 144 years indeterminate-to-life today in Denver District Court today in connection with the murders of two women in Denver and the sexual assault of three other women who survived their attack. 

 

White pleaded guilty in September to two counts of first-degree murder (F1) and three counts of sexual assault with a deadly weapon (F2).  As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors did not seek the death penalty and White cooperated in the search for other victims he claimed to have killed.  Family members of 32-year-old Victoria Turpin and 27-year-old Annaletia Gonzales spoke at the hearing, as well as two of the surviving victims.  District Court Judge R. Michael Mullins imposed the maximum sentence possible.

 

Efforts continue to try to identify a woman whose remains were found near Mesita, Colorado.  White has worked with a sketch artist to create a composite drawing of the victim and has provided personal details that he remembers.  The information is posted at:
