TEENAGER CHARGED WITH MURDER

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a 15-year-old as an adult in connection with the July 3, 2005 murder of 19-year-old Robert Lee.

Justin Box (DOB: 10-18-89) is charged with first-degree murder (F1).

The charge alleges that the victim, Lee, and Box had been involved in an altercation near the intersection of Hamilton and Galena in the early morning hours of July 3, 2005 when Lee was shot and killed.

Box was identified as a suspect during the investigation but could not be located until he was arrested a few weeks ago in Salt Lake City for an assault.  Box had given authorities a fictitious name but was recently identified and connected to the Denver homicide case.  Box, who remains in custody in Utah, will now face extradition back to Denver.
