MAN CHARGED IN TODDLER’S DEATH

Morrissey has formally charged a man in connection with the
death of 3-year-old girl last week.
Michael Bueno
(DOB: 04-20-85) is charged with child abuse
resulting in death (F2) and child abuse resulting in
serious bodily injury (F3).
Denver police responded to the
4400 block of Mariposa Street about 10:15 a.m. last Thursday,
February 24, 2005. They found 3-year-old Estela Bautista
unconscious on a living room sofa. She was rushed to a Denver
hospital but did not survive. She had been in the care of her
mother’s boyfriend, Michael Bueno, who was arrested later in the
day.
Bueno remains in custody in the
Denver County Jail. His bond is set at $200,000. He is
scheduled to appear in Denver County Court, room 12T, on March
4, 2005 at 9 a.m. to be advised of the charges.
