The following statement
has been released by the family of Torrey Foster (Torrey’s
mother and grandmother):
Torrey
Foster was loved very much and will be missed terribly by her
children most of all. Torrey had a long life ahead of her. She
spent a lot of time with her kids, riding bikes, going to the
movie shows. They had planned on seeing Harry Potter the week
she went missing. Torrey was going to cosmetology school and
was close to finishing.
This
whole ordeal has been extremely difficult on our family. Every
time the phone rang we thought it would be her. At least we
know now she’s at peace. We want to thank everyone involved
finding Torrey and identifying her.
(The family has declined
media interviews and is requesting that their privacy be
respected. They have asked the DA’s Office to request that
media not call or try to speak with them.)
