MAN CHARGED IN KIDNAPPING, SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a man accused of attacking a woman last week in the 1200 block of Quince Street.

John Fuller (DOB: 12-04-67) is charged with two counts of sexual assault (F2 and F3), second-degree kidnapping (F2) and robbery (F4).

The charges allege that on Thursday, January 6, 2005 Fuller and another man randomly attacked a 24-year-old woman as she was walking home from working a night shift at about 5:45 a.m.  The woman was forced into a van and was later sexually assaulted.  A neighbor who heard her screaming alerted police.

Fuller was arrested later in Arvada with the van.  A second suspect, Melvin Williams (DOB: 10-04-54) was arrested in Westminster and is in custody in Adams County.  Charges against Williams are expected soon.
