CHARGES FILED AGAINST DEPUTY
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a
sheriff's deputy in connection with allegations that he sold
contraband inside the Denver County Jail.
Solomon Mikael (DOB: 11-25-70) is charged with three
counts of bribery (F3) and three counts of introducing
contraband (F4).
The charges allege that Mikael brought marijuana and tobacco
cigarettes into the Denver County Jail on several occasions and
sold the items to inmates. He had been hired by the
Sheriff Department in 1998.
Mikael remains in custody. His bond is set at $100,000. He is
scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on September 14, 2005
at 9 a.m. to be advised of the charges.

individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A
defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven
