MOM CHARGED WITH MURDER IN
CHILD’S DEATH JULY 2ND
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has charged a
19-year-old woman with murder in connection with the beating
death of her 2-and-a-half year old daughter a week and a half
ago.
Tiffany Moreno
(DOB: 07-30-85) is charged with first-degree murder (F1)
and child abuse resulting in death (F2).
On Saturday, July 2, 2005 at about noon, a two-and-a-half year
old girl was brought to Denver Health Medical Center where she
was pronounced dead. Denver police investigators later arrested
the toddler’s mother, Tiffany Moreno in connection with her
death. Moreno’s boyfriend, Joseph Trujillo (DOB: 06-26-80) was
also arrested, but on unrelated charges.
The charges against Moreno allege that she beat her daughter on
July 2, 2005 causing a fatal head injury.
Moreno remains in
custody in the Denver County Jail. She is being held without
bond. She is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court, room
12T, July 13, 2005 at 9
a.m.
