75-YEAR-OLD MATH TUTOR CHARGED IN CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULT

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a 75-year-old man in connection with the sexual assault of a tutoring student several years ago.

Alexander Naroditsky (DOB: 07-25-29) is charged with sexual assault on a child (F4), sexual assault on a child – pattern of abuse (F3) and three counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust (F3).

The charges allege that Naroditsky was a math tutor in the 1990s and that he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old female student in his Denver home during tutoring sessions in November 1995.  The victim recently came forward to pursue criminal charges against Naroditsky, reporting the sexual assaults to Denver police late last year.

Naroditsky was arrested on March 12, 2005 and posted $50,000 bond.  He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on March 31, 2005 at 9 a.m. in courtroom 12T.
