MAN CHARGED WITH ENTICING A CHILD

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a man accused of trying to lure a child into his apartment for sex.

Antonio Padilla (DOB: 11-19-69) is charged with four counts of enticement of a child (F4).

On May 19, 2005 Denver police officers responded to the 2400 block of Federal Boulevard where residents reported that a man had been propositioning women and children for sex.  The charges allege that on at least four separate occasions Padilla tried to lure an 11-year-old boy into his apartment.

Padilla remains in custody in the Denver County Jail.  His bond is set at $5,000.  He is scheduled to be advised of the charges on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 9 a.m. in Denver County Court, room 12T.
