WOMAN CHARGED WITH MURDER
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has charged a
30-year-old woman with murder in connection with the shooting
death of 29-year-old Tashee Griffin over the Memorial Day
weekend.
Lakesha Patterson
(DOB: 05-26-75) is charged with second-degree murder
(F2).
Griffin was found on a stranger’s porch suffering from a gunshot
wound. The resident called police and Griffin was taken to
Denver Health Medical Center where she died a short time later.
The investigation revealed that Patterson and Griffin were
involved in an altercation in the 2200 block of Humboldt on
Saturday night, May 28, 2005. The charge alleges that Patterson
shot Griffin after Griffin returned later that night and was
breaking out Patterson’s car windows.
Patterson remains in custody in the Denver County Jail where she
is being held without bond. She is scheduled to appear in
Denver County Court, room 12T, on June 7, 2005 at 9 a.m. to be
advised of the charge.
