EX-BOYFRIEND
CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT
Denver District
Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a man accused of
beating his ex-girlfriend, sexually assaulting her, and keeping
her in his home against her will.
Patrick Richmond
(DOB: 11-23-69) is charged with sexual assault (F2),
second-degree kidnapping (F2), and first-degree assault;
menacing (F3).
Richmond and his
ex-girlfriend went out on Saturday night, June 18, 2005, and
later returned to his residence. The charges allege he forced
her into the basement, wouldn’t let her leave, and then
assaulted her.
She was able to get
away the next morning and immediately called her mother and the
police.
Richmond remains in
custody at the Denver County Jail. His bond has been set at
$50,000. He is scheduled to be formally advised of the charges
on June 24, 2005 in Denver County Courtroom, 12T.
