WOMAN CHARGED IN INMATE SEX CASE

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has charged a woman who is accused of having sex with an inmate at the correctional facility where she was working.

Sherice Robinson (dob; 06-07-72) is charged with two counts of sexual misconduct in a penal institution (F5).

Robinson was a case manager at the Columbine community corrections facility in Denver.  The charges allege that on two separate occasions in November, Robinson had sexual contact in her office with an inmate.

Robinson has been released from custody on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court, room 12T, on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 9 a.m. to be formally advised of the charges.  The presumptive range for sentencing on a class 5 felony is up to 3 years in prison.
