WOMAN SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR STABBING DEATH

 

Demika Rogers (DOB: 07-06-79) was sentenced to life in prison without parole today in connection with the stabbing death of Golden Barefield on July 31, 2003.  Rogers was convicted at trial in Barefield’s death, which occurred in the 1900 block of Trenton after a dispute in a parking lot.  Rogers apologized to Barefield’s family but maintained her innocence as she spoke to the court.  A co-defendant, Felicesha Cox, was acquitted at trial.
