JUVENILES CHARGED AS ADULTS IN
‘PLASTIC BAG BANDIT’ CASE
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has charged three
juveniles as adults in connection with a series of armed
robberies in February and March. The suspects became known as
the “plastic bag bandits” because a pattern unfolded in which
they used plastic bags to take money during the robberies.
Marco Saucedo
(DOB: 10-13-87) Luis Lujan (DOB: 12-14-87) and German
Chavez Mares (DOB: 10-25-88) are each charged with 7 counts
of aggravated robbery (F3) and two counts of menacing
(F5).
The charges allege that they robbed liquor stores and
convenience stores, forcing clerks in some cases to lie on the
floor at gunpoint during the robbery.
They are being held in the Denver County Jail. Bond has been
set in each case at $50,000. They are scheduled to appear in
Denver District Court, division 13, on July 8, 2005 at 1:30 for
a preliminary hearing.
