BROTHER AND SISTER CHARGED

IN HOME INVASION ROBBERY

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. has filed formal charges against a brother and sister accused in a home invasion robbery that occurred last month in the 3400 block of South Fenton Street.

Eric Breemen (DOB: 12-30-83) is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary (F3), six counts of aggravated robbery (F3), two counts of theft (F4), and one count each of second-degree assault (F4) and third-degree assault (M1).

Jessica Breemen (DOB: 8-16-85) is charged with second-degree burglary (F3) and two counts of aggravated robbery (F3).

The charges allege that Eric Breemen, his sister Jessica, and several others entered a home in the 3400 block of South Fenton Street in the early morning hours of September 29, 2003.  Breemen had been a roommate there earlier, but had been evicted.  The charges allege that he assaulted two men who were home at the time and stole numerous items of value.  The investigation is continuing.  Additional charges are possible.

Both defendants remain in custody in the Denver County Jail.  Bond has been set at $50,000 each.  They are both scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. to be advised of the charges.
