SEX OFFENDER SENTENCED

Robert Buchanan (DOB: 9-12-46) was sentenced today in connection with his earlier guilty plea to two counts of unlawful sexual contact.  Denver District Court Judge Gloria Rivera sentenced Buchanan to a 16-year indeterminate to life sentence.  Buchanan is a repeated sex offender who pleaded guilty in this case to posing as a modeling scout to sexually assault women.

JUVENILE CHARGED AS AN ADULT

A juvenile charged last week with shooting at police officers now faces identical charges as an adult.  Darryl Hunter (DOB: 7-19-86) was originally charged as a juvenile in the case.  He has been formally charged as an adult today with three counts of attempted murder (F2) and three counts of first-degree assault (F3).  The charges allege that Hunter fired at Denver police officers as they responded to a fatal shooting at Denver’s Falcon Park.
