FOUR CHARGED IN EAST COLFAX MURDER

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. filed formal charges today against four people in connection with the August 8, 2001 murder of 41-year-old Sherman Banks at 6880 East Colfax Avenue.

Andre Oliver (DOB: 4-8-73) and Darnell Weare (DOB: 5-7-59) are each charged with first degree murder after deliberation (F1), first degree felony murder (F1), first degree kidnapping (F1), and conspiracy to commit first degree murder (F2).

Jason Coleman (DOB: 5-28-80) is charged with first degree murder after

deliberation (F1) and conspiracy to commit first degree murder (F2).

Angela Dodds-Weare (DOB: 9-5-66) is charged with first degree kidnapping (F1) and conspiracy to commit first degree murder (F2).

All four defendants remain in custody in the Denver County Jail. They are tentatively scheduled to appear in Denver County Courtroom 12T on Friday, August 17, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. to be formally advised of the charges against them.
