WOMAN CHARGED
IN FATAL HIGHWAY CRASH
Denver District
Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. has formally charge 41-year-old
Socorro Elvira Cuevas (DOB: 11-29-61) with
careless driving resulting in death (M1) in connection
with a crash involving a cement truck on February 19, 2003.
The charge alleges
that Cuevas caused a fatal crash that killed 45-year-old Scott
Atkinson of Wheat Ridge when she spun out of control on I-25 at
Alameda Avenue forcing a cement truck and Atkinson’s vehicle off
the highway.
Cuevas has been
served a Criminal Summons and Complaint. Information about her
next court date is not available at this time.
