MURDER CHARGE FILED

 

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. has formally charged a man with murder in connection with the October 11, 2003 shooting death of 23-year-old Alejandro Subia-Nuanez.  Subia-Nuanez was a passenger in a party limousine that had stopped at 11th and Tennyson to allow other passengers an opportunity to talk with a group of people gathered near the intersection.  A confrontation broke out and shots were fired into the limo hitting the victim.

 

Juan Manual Diaz (DOB: 6-24-84) is charged with first-degree murder with extreme indifference (F1) and illegal discharge of a firearm (F5).

 

Diaz is being held in the Denver County Jail without bond.  He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. in room 12T to be advised of the charges.
