 WOMAN CHARGED IN DEADLY CRASH

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. formally charged an Aurora woman today in connection with the death of Doug Fleischmann in a fatal car crash last weekend.

Cassandra Egloff (DOB: 01-04-81) is charged with vehicular homicide (F3) and Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI).

The charges allege that on June 22, 2003, at about 1:15 a.m., Egloff was driving southbound on Lafayette Street in her '02 Nissan Altima and ran the stop sign at 17th Avenue.  A ’99 Jeep Cherokee driven by Fleischmann broadsided Egloff’s vehicle; he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Denver Health Medical Center.

Egloff is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court, room 12T, on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. to be advised of the charges.
