 Former Sheriff's official pleads guilty

Former Denver Sheriff Deputy, Major Carlos Jackson (DOB: 11-13-49), pleaded guilty to one count of third degree assault  (M1) today in Denver County Court.  In exchange for his guilty plea, three other counts of third degree assault were dismissed.  The charges were brought in connection with incidents of domestic violence that occurred last June.  Jackson will be sentenced January 9, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. in Denver County Court room 320E.
