CHARGES FILED IN COORS FIELD VICINITY BREAK-INS

 

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. formally filed charges against two men accused of breaking into parked cars near Coors Field.

 

Oscar Gomez (DOB: 7-20-79) and Marco Sanchez (DOB: 12-19-73) are each charged with two counts of first-degree criminal trespass (F5), one count of felony theft (F4) and one count of misdemeanor theft (M2). The charges allege that on July 27, 2003, the men broke into multiple cars in a parking lot in the 2200 block of Market Street. They allegedly stole two car stereos, a cell phone and a purse from the vehicles.

 

Gomez has been released from the Denver County Jail on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court, room 12T, on August 11, 2003 at 9 a.m. to be advised of the charges. Sanchez remains in jail with a bond of $2,000; his formal advisement is scheduled in the same courtroom on Friday, August 1, 2003 at 9 a.m.
