MAN SENTENCED IN MURDER CASE

Omar Green (DOB:9-2-78)

24-year-old Omar Green was sentenced to life in prison plus 12 years today, December 20, 2002, for the murder of Le Thu Thi Nguyen in July 2001.  A Denver jury convicted Green of first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping and third-degree assault earlier this year.  Green abducted Nguyen, a former girlfriend, from a shopping center in Aurora where she worked.  He told police he took her to Denver’s City Park where she was murdered.  Her body was found later in her car by family and friends.
