CHARGES FILED IN DOWNTOWN METH LAB CASE

 

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. filed formal charges today against a man and a woman accused of operating a meth lab in a downtown high-rise loft.

 

Vince Kristynik (DOB: 6-11-60) and Cynthia Taylor (DOB: 6-21-64) are charged with manufacturing a controlled substance (F3), possession of chemicals or supplies for manufacturing a controlled substance (F3), possession of a methamphetamine precursor (F3), possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (F3) and possession of a controlled substance (F4).

 

The meth lab was discovered June 22, 2003 in a 17th Street apartment, after a neighbor reported suspicious activity to the police.

 

Taylor is being held in the Denver County Jail on $30,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court, Room 12T, on June 27, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. to be advised of the charges. Kristynik was released from jail on $30,000 bond and will appear in the same courtroom July 9, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. for his formal advisement.
