Jury convicts Paul Lopez

A Denver jury has returned its verdict this afternoon in the trial of Paul Lopez (DOB: 1-15-52).  Lopez was found guilty on all counts: two counts of sexual assault on a child, two counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, and two counts of sexual assault on a child, pattern of abuse. 

He was ordered held without bond in the Denver County Jail and will be sentenced on November 22, 2002 in Denver District Court, Division 12 at 8:30 a.m.
