MAN SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR MURDER

 

A Denver District Court jury returned guilty verdicts today against Solomon Lopez-Martinez (DOB: 4-24-71) in connection with the November 8, 2001 murder of a homeless man in Denver and the assault of another man.  He was sentenced immediately to life in prison without parole, plus the maximum of 16 years for the assault and an additional 3 years for violating probation.

 

The jury found Lopez-Martinez guilty of first-degree murder in connection with the death of 50-year-old Nicol Gigonv and guilty of second-degree assault in connection with the beating of 34-year-old Tracy Hunt.
