GRAND JURY
INDICTS TWO IN TODDLER DEATH
A Denver Grand
Jury has returned an indictment against two people in connection
with the February 2, 2003 death of 2-year-old Aliza Reighard.
The child’s mother and her boyfriend were both indicted
yesterday.
Randy Ramirez
(DOB: 8-25-81) and Laura Trujillo (DOB: 6-12-83) are charged
with one count each of child abuse resulting in death
(F2).
The indictment
was handed down Wednesday, April 2, 2003 and was unsealed today
following their arrest Wednesday afternoon. Ramirez and
Trujillo remain in custody in the Denver County Jail. Bond was
set at $75,000 for Ramirez and at $25,000 for Trujillo.
Their next
appearance is scheduled in Denver District Court, room 17, at
8:30 a.m., April 8, 2003.
