Status update on Lewis case

The Denver District Attorney's Office received the case file on Gerald Dwayne Lewis from the Denver Police Department today. Formal charges are due to be filed in Denver County Court no later than 5 p.m. tomorrow, January 24, 2002.

*The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo. RPC 3.6
