Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. filed formal charges today against two men from Texas in connection with a horse theft that occurred late last fall.

The victim was waiting to participate in a team-roping contest at a Denver rodeo event on November 24, 2001 when he reported his horse missing.  The horse, worth approximately $10,000, was later recovered in Texas.

Minter was arrested on April 18, 2002 and formally charged the next day. He was released from jail on a $5,000 bond and is tentatively scheduled to be advised of the charges on May 2, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. in Denver County Court, room 12T.

John Dunklin was arrested April 26, 2002 and formally charged today.  He has been released on $10,000 bond and is tentatively scheduled to appear in Denver County Court, room 12T, on May 10, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. to be formally advised of the charges.
