CO-DEFENDANTS CHARGED AS JUVENILES IN ASSAULT

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. filed formal charges today against two additional juveniles in connection with an assault that occurred at Lincoln High School on March 1, 2001.

Ernest Vigil (DOB: 10-23-84) and Nicholas Vigil (DOB: 8-26-85) are being charged as juveniles with two counts of second degree assault (F4), two counts of ethnic intimidation (F4), conspiracy to commit assault (F5), and violent juvenile offender. They appeared in juvenile court today to be advised of the charges against them and are scheduled for a status hearing March 30, 2001.

Three others were charged earlier in connection with the same incident.
