MAN CHARGED WITH FONDLING GIRL AT AMUSEMENT PARK

Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Jr. formally charged a man in connection with a fondling incident at Six Flags Elitch Gardens Amusement Park last week.

Javier Villasenor-Caballero (DOB: 8-29-59) is charged with one count of sexual assault on a child (F4).

The charge alleges that a ten-year-old girl was swimming in the wave pool at the park last Thursday when a man grabbed her buttocks; the charge alleges that she went to another part of the wave pool, the man followed her, grabbed her around the waist, and touched her buttocks again.  The victim and a relative then left the pool and reported what had happened to her mother, who then told a life guard.

Villasenor-Caballero has been released on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court to be advised of the charge on July 25, 2003 at 9 a.m. in room 12T.
