Denver DA Charges 17-Year-Old as Adult in Attempted Homicide

DENVER—Prosecutors with the Juvenile Unit of the Denver District Attorney’s Office today announced that they direct filed a case against Jaycin Robinson for allegedly shooting a 52-year-old woman in the head near East 56th Avenue and North Dallas Street just two days before his 18th birthday. The woman survived her injuries.

On March 27, 2023, the woman was attempting to enter a building when Robinson allegedly confronted her at gun point and shot her before then running off. Robinson is charged with two counts of attempted murder (F2), one count of first degree assault causing serious bodily injury (F3), one count of aggravated motor vehicle theft (F4) and five counts of possessing a weapon as a previous juvenile offender (F5). This is Denver District Court case number 23CR15046.
