Denver DA Charges Edgar Trujillo in Parking Lot Attack
DENVER—Denver District Attorney Beth McCann filed murder charges last week against 25-year old Edgar Trujillo. Trujillo is alleged to have punched the adult male victim on Monday, May 18, 2020. This blow caused the victim to fall and hit his head in the parking lot of the Western Motor Inn at 47th and Vasquez Boulevard in Denver. Denver Police officers arrested Trujillo without incident later that night.
Trujillo had his second advisement this morning and faces one count of Murder in the Second Degree (F2) and one count of Third Degree Assault (M1). This case number is 20CR03182. The name of the victim is being withheld pending the findings by the medical examiner.
