Denver DA Charges Juvenile with Murder in Stabbing Death
DENVER—After being stabbed multiple times to his neck, chest and abdomen, Ramon Perez (age 55) was found dead in an alley at 9th and Federal on May 9, 2020. Today, Denver DA Beth McCann announced that 16-year old Joe Anthony Juarez-Brambila is being charged as an adult with his murder.
Methodical investigative work by Denver Police Officers led to the arrest of Juarez-Brambila on May 20, 2020, and after a careful review of the facts, Denver DA Beth McCann charged Juarez-Brambila as an adult for his alleged crime. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner’s preliminary investigation revealed Perez’ manner of death was homicide. Juarez-Brambila’s case number is 20CR20003 and he was first advised yesterday morning in Denver District Court.
