Denver DA’s Office Files Charges Against Retired Denver Fire Department Lieutenant (Flesner)

DENVER—Prosecutors in the Sex Assault Unit of the Denver District Attorney’s Office filed charges today against a recently retired Denver Fire Department Lieutenant, Daniel Flesner, (age 47). Flesner faces one count of tampering with physical evidence (F6) and one count of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification (M1).

Flesner is alleged to have secretly placed a recording device in the sleeping room of another firefighter with the lens facing the changing area. When the device was discovered and reported to superiors, of which he was one, Flesner allegedly tampered with the device.

The case, 19CR02676, was filed in Denver District Court on April 11, 2019. His second advisement is scheduled for April 22, 2019, at 8:00 am in courtroom 2300.
